Okay, so I stumbled across this really interesting piece and it immediately caught my eye! It’s got this kind of whimsical, almost Tim Burton-esque feel to it, and it definitely sparked some creative ideas in my head. I figured I’d share it and maybe even draw some inspiration from it for a future project. It’s giving me all sorts of autumnal and spooky season vibes!

This artwork is just stunning! The artist has really captured a sense of mystery and melancholy in Sally’s expression. I love the details in the background, too - the swirling patterns and textures add so much depth to the piece. I’m thinking about using this sort of visual detail in my own craft project this weekend!
Now, because this image has such a strong association with Halloween and the fall season, it made me think of pumpkin spice lattes and all the cozy, comforting things that come with it. So, I thought I’d share a recipe for a delicious homemade pumpkin spice latte that you can enjoy while admiring the art!
Homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte
Ingredients:
- 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
- 1 tablespoon sugar (or sweetener of choice)
- 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee or 2 shots espresso
- Whipped cream (optional)
- Extra pumpkin pie spice for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- In a small saucepan, combine the milk, pumpkin puree, sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla extract.
- Heat over medium heat, whisking constantly, until the mixture is heated through and slightly frothy. Be careful not to boil.
- Remove from heat and whisk vigorously to create even more froth. You can also use a milk frother if you have one.
- Pour the coffee or espresso into a mug.
- Pour the pumpkin spice milk mixture over the coffee.
- Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice, if desired.
- Enjoy your cozy and delicious homemade pumpkin spice latte!
Isn’t that image inspiring? I’m seriously considering attempting a similar art style using watercolors. The color palette is so inviting, and the character design is both eerie and endearing. I think it’d be a fun challenge to try and replicate the overall mood in a different medium. And while working on that, I’ll definitely be sipping on that pumpkin spice latte! Let me know if you try the recipe or get inspired by the artwork, too!
